Petrovsky was a Starfleet cadet who entered Starfleet Academy in the 2250s.
When Vulcan was attacked by the Narada in 2258, Petrovsky was assigned to the USS Antares to assist in the rescue attempts. He or she was presumably killed when the Antares was destroyed in the battle. (Star Trek)
